What is Digital Printing?

What is GSM?

GSM is known as the thickness of the paper, standard paper is 80GSM, Cardboard is 300GSM. When printing off a Digital Printer you can use the following thickness of paper or Board.

80GSM	=	Normal Copy Paper
90GSM	=	Touch Thicker (Not a large difference between 80GSM)
100GSM	=	Feel a little difference from 80GSM
130GSM 150GSM	=	Feel the difference, yet still classified as paper thickness

All of the above paper thicknesses are great for mailing out a flyer or distributing in mail boxes. Paper stock is not recommended if you are placing them in a brochure holder as it doesn’t have the thickness to hold itself up.

For Thickness

200GSM	=	Mid range between paper and board, its not thick or thin
250GSM	=	Closer to a board thickness
300GSM	=	Start of the board range which is a similar thickness to cardboard
310GSM	=	Thicker, generally Business Cards are printed on this board
350GSM	=	Thick, generally most of our premium business cards are printed on this stock
420GSM	=	Very strong and the thickest board available at Select Print Solutions
